While a tailwater by definition, the Deckers section of the South Platte is another example of a Colorado river with considerable freestone characteristics the further downstream you head. The river holds approximately 4,000 fish per mile and sight fishing opportunities abound.

The Dream Stream, also know as the Charlie Meyers Recreation Area, is the most well known section of the South Platte River, if not the most famous in the State of Colorado. Positioned between Spinney and 11-Mile Reservoirs, The Dream Stream is a notorious stomping ground for anglers looking to catch trophy rainbow, cutthroat and brown trout.
