Angler's Alibi lodge is located on the fabled Alagnak River in Bristol Bay, one of the most prolific salmon rivers in the world. This is a true Alaska experience with fly in access only. This means no crowds or roads, just unbelievable fishing, scenery, and wildlife viewing. We have been here for more than 20 years and have one of the highest return rates in the industry, 80% to 90%!
We utilize 7 guide boats, with 6 guides and have a 2 to 1 guest to guide ratio. Our chef serves amazing meals daily, and our shore staff is always eager to maintain the utmost level of comfort to our guests while at Angler's Alibi.

The fishing program at Angler's Alibi is always priority number one. We strive to maintain catch rates that surpasses even the returning customers goals. Do not get me wrong, our customer service is top notch as well, but our goal day in and day out is to exceed the guests expectations while fishing on our home water for all five species of Pacific salmon and huge Alaska trout, or by flying out to nearby Katmai National Park fishing for trophy size wild Alaska trout, char, and grayling.
We are located right in the middle of the tidewater of the Alagnak River, about 5 miles up from the mouth of the bay. We fish literally only a short 10 minute boat ride up or downriver to intercept chrome bright salmon daily as they enter the Alagnak River on the tides.
Guests stay in 1 of 6 deluxe tent cabins complete with carpeted floors, thermostatic heat, and electricity. These are spaced out nicely and are all within a close walk the the shower house, flush toilets, or our large dining room tent. DO NOT let the word tent scare you, these are weather port tents designed to withstand 100 mph winds and accommodate arctic conditions. These are very comfortable, elevated off the ground on their own carpeted platform, and are outright spacious. There are a maximum of 12 guests per week, and 2 guest tents have the capacity of 3 beds per in the event there is a threesome for the week.
